Flank Steak Rub

grilled flank steakI got the basis for this from Cooking Light, but left out their red pepper flakes. This makes a nice spicy rub. It's not hot spicy. I rubbed this on the meat about an hour before barbecueing it.

Mix all the rub ingredients together, then smear on both sides of the steak, at least an hour before cooking. Salt and pepper lightly then grill the meat over medium high heat about 12-14 minutes total, turning halfway through. Then let the meat rest on a plate or cutting board flank steak tacosfor 5 minutes before slicing.

Makes great flank steak tacos!
