Maple Flavored Syrup
1 3/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. maple flavoring
Combine sugars and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook 1 minute. Cool slightly.
Add vanilla and maple flavoring, stir in, and cover saucepan for a few minutes. (Covering helps prevent syrup from crystallizing later.)
