Meatball Sandwich
This is a great way to use up that last bit of meatballs and sauce if you're tired of pasta. Or if you keep a stash of homemade meatballs in the freezer, you can just pull out a few and mix up a small batch of sauce using a small can of tomato sauce.
For each sandwich you want about:
- 1 French roll, split
- bit of butter
- fresh minced garlic or garlic powder
- 2-4 meatballs, depending on how large they are
- 1/4 cups marinara sauce or pizza sauce even
- 1 or 2 slices provolone cheese
Heat the meatballs in the sauce until heated through, either on the stove or in the microwave.
Split the French rolls and spread with butter and garlic or garlic powder. Broil a bit until crisp. Place the meatballs, sauce and cheese on the rolls and put back under the broiler until the cheese melts.
