For years, I’ve been cutting avocados in half, using a large knife to whack the seed and pull it out and then cutting or slicing the avocado in the skin, using a spoon to scrape the pieces out.
I don’t remember where I saw this new-to-me way of cutting an avocado but it is way better!
It starts the same–cut the avocado in half lengthwise with a knife, cutting up to the pit and circling around, then twisting the pieces apart and pulling the pit out.
But then cut each half in half again, lengthwise.
Then you just peel the skin off! Slice or chop it as needed.
