Google Reader and RSS subscriptions

If you read my blog via Google Reader, you’re probably aware that Google has announced it will be “retired” as of July 1st so you’ll need to find a new RSS reader or find other ways to keep in touch with your favorite blogs.

I have switched to Feedly and it was very easy. I am not quite used to it yet though. It will take some adjustment in how I read.  Here are their Google Reader migration instructions if you’re interested.  If you want to explore other alternatives, you can read Marketing Land’s12 Alternatives to Google Reader.

The other option is to subscribe by email to this blog (and others). At this point, I send out the newsletter once a month but I could explore offering more frequent options.  You can also subscribe to my Twitter feed, although I’m not that into Twitter myself. But I do announce blog posts there.

I’d love to hear other suggestions of different readers for those of you who have explored options.  Also, let me know your thoughts about email subscriptions.

And of course you can always subscribe to this block and get emails when I add new posts.
