A while back the folks at Pom Wonderful offered to send me some pomegranate juice samples. Wow. I tried drinking the first one straight and it was a bit much for me, despite all the great health benefits they say pomegranate juice has. But then we saw some recipes for green tea and pomegranate juice and oh this was good! It’s not cheap, unless you find the Pom juice on sale. (Hint, at least at our store, the larger containers are substantially less expensive. If you’re curious, try a small bottle first, but if you’re going to drink it regularly the larger container is definitely more cost effective.)
After we played around with the Pom juice and green iced tea, I noticed that Pom Wonderful sells just such a drink. $1/16 ounces at my local grocer. Not cheap, but if you’re looking for a treat that has some healthy side effects, much better this than a sweetened iced coffee or some of the other iced teas that are loaded with various forms of sugar, I think.
Disclaimer: I’m not a health expert of any variation and they sent me the stuff to review. I did however buy some of their green tea and pomegranate juice mix as a treat. My kids loved it and I’d rather have them drinking that than soda.
