I borrowed Sara Foster’s Southern Kitchen from the library and have been having fun playing around with some new recipes or new versions of old favorites.
The first time I made the fried chicken it tasted good but the coating fell off too easily. She mentioned using an electric skillet, which I didn’t have but had always wanted. Sometimes I just need another pan! So i bought one similar to this electric skillet on Amazon. Keeping the oil at the right temperature makes a huge difference. The chicken came out super good.
