Crockpot Macaroni and Cheese

When I sat down to make the menu for the most recent graduation party, I was initially stuck for some warm dishes.  The last few big parties I’ve done have been in the summer.  I remembered though that I had made a macaroni and cheese dish in the Crockpot one time that had come out well.  I also remember it had eggs in it, which seemed strange to me at the time but worked out well. This time I left the eggs out and added a bit of butter, thinking that would thicken things up as well. This was a little runnier than the version I made a few years ago but I think I liked it better.

I cooked the macaroni the minimum amount of time so that it would still hold it’s shape after being in the Crockpot for 3 hours.  The texture and taste of this was really quite good!

This got lots of comments at the party because no one had seen macaroni and cheese in a Crockpot before.
